Captain Kirk Awesome
For all those who are not followers of Star Trek, Captain Kirk is the main man of the Enterprise. He is the captain of the ship and the crew looks up to him and relies on him when there is trouble. We all know this man is awesome, you can see in the poster below that he is full of charisma and absolute confidence. This is what a captain of a space ship should be.
The caption says it all “I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of how awesome I am.” Yes he has every right to smile like that.
His full name is James Tiberius “Jim” Kirk. He is the youngest starfleet captain of the five year mission of the Enterprise. He is described by his crew as cunning, courageous and confident. He was also involved with lots of women during his mission but he is always bound to his duty. His dedication to the Enterprise always wins over the women.
How can we all forget his significant friendship with his first officer Spock and chief medical officer Dr. Leonard McCoy. The three of them have been involved in all the adventures and exploits of the Enterprise throughout the galaxies. 
The cultural impact of the Star Trek series and Captain Kirk is tremendous. He will be forever etched in the American pop culture as a character that depicts a true space hero. He was even voted the sixth most popular space hero of the 2010 Space Foundation survey. The town of Riverside, Iowa holds a yearly Star Trek convention that anticipates the birth of Captain Kirk in the year 2233.
