Captain Kirk Poster
The classic Star Trek series can never be complete without the leader of the Enterprise, Captain James T. Kirk. It is only fitting that there are posters reserved only for the captain. One of my favorite poster of Captain Kirk is his Kobayashi Maru poster which only shows his figure as he passed and defeated the no win situation test because he cheated.
The caption says “It’s okay to cheat, if you just really don’t like to lose.” Being the young, confident and brash captain that he was, Captain Kirk will really do anything so he would not lose. Well, you have to consider that the Kobayashi Maru test was designed so that no one could win so he cheated.
We all want to see Captain Kirk in action. His timeless battles are still being talked about until today. He is not only witty, smart and suave with the girls but he also uses his brawns and fist to settle the issue. The fight scenes may be old school but hey it still looks cool on posters right?
When we see William Shatner on TV we can’t help but associate him with Star Trek. His portrayal of Captain Kirk has transcended the personification of the character and he will be forever remembered as the Captain of the Enterprise. On the poster below we see an older Captain Kirk and I like this poster because he looks like he’s gonna tear some aliens eyes out.
