I've
been asked to introduce a new feature. It's called "The Search Engine Keyword
Report."
This
is the deal: When you find a site through a search engine like Google or Yahoo,
the webmaster can see what keywords you entered to get there. Meaning, Echo
knows what you were looking for when you showed up somewhere on echosphere.net.
Because
we have to assume that no one actually shows up here because they want to hear
fictional characters spout pithy made-up observations about the minutiae of
popular culture.
That's
what Quentin Tarantino movies are for.
*pokes Stipe with a stick*
Get on with it!
Echo
Right. So anyway, most of the terms are unexciting and predicatable, such
as:
U2 slash fiction, U2 humor, live journal icons, echosphere
However, occasionally you get some far out ones: Today, people found this
site by Googling for "girls gone wilde" and "notes
on houseboy."
Jay
Okay,
can I just say in my defense that the word "houseboy" appears nowhere
on my site.
The
person I feel the most sorry for is the poor bastard who searched for "girls
gone wilde." I mean, all he wanted was to buy a video compilation of naked-titty
footage, and instead he gets
this.
